1.1. I can distinguish between synchronous and asynchronous communication media and choose between them the most appropriate to the communication I want to make

What is Digital Communication and Presentation?

Digital Communication – the process of connecting with people across online channels. It is texts, video chats, social media, and any sort of communications over the Internet like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Zoom or Skype. Digital communication allows you to transfer any information easily and quickly, which means you can save a lot of money and time. It becomes efficient and faster to contact your relative or business partner during any time of the day. You can communicate with people all over the world and some apps even allow you to do this face-to-face.
Synchronous communication means that two or more people exchange information in real-time. In most workplaces communication happens that way and people expect real-time responses. The problem with this approach is that it is, in fact, not very effective. It sounds counterintuitive. After all, what better way is there to stay on top of your game than addressing issues immediately.

Synchronous communication refers to the exchange of data between two or more parties without the requirement for all the recipients to respond immediately.

For example, your colleague can leave you a message in a topic feed on a common platform, and not worry about disturbing you. You will read the information when ready, consume it, take your time to decide on it, and answer when you’re available. This approach frees both parties from the need to be synchronized.

Now we are going to introduce some of the most commonly used video conferencing platforms: Jitsi, and Microsoft Teams - you can easily access them on the computer and also on your phone by downloading the respective apps.

About Jitsi: Video Conferencing Software.
Jitsi is a set of open-source projects that allows you to easily build and deploy secure video conferencing solutions. At the heart of Jitsi are Jitsi Video bridge and Jitsi Meet, which let you have conferences on the internet, while other projects in the community enable other features such as audio, dial-in, recording, and simulcasting.
